Apparent magnitude which is how bright a star appears from earth.
Absolute magnitude is how bright the star appears at a standard distance of 32.6 light years (or 10 parsecs).
Apparent magnitude is a measure of how bright an object seems to be at the point where it is observed. It expresses brightness on a scale , and gives brighter objects lower value and fainter objects higher value.
Absolute magnitude gives the brightness of an object if it were moved to a distance of 10 parsec from the sun
