- - Let's solve:
Start of with parenthesis because were using pemdas.
Now you have (-2)(-4) which is (-2)*(-4)
(Negative times a negative = positive)
Now you simply have:
12-8
4 is your final answer.

12 - (-2) (-4)
-2 * -4 = ?
A negative times a negative equals a positive value.
-2*-4 = 8
12 - 8 = ?
12-8 = 4
Because 4+8 = 12
Final answer: 4
