We already know that 1 cup= 0.0625 gallon.
100 cups of gas* (0.0625 gallon of gas/ 1 cup of gas)= 6.25 gallons of gas.
6.25 gallons of gas* ($3.12/ 1 gallon of gas)= $19.50.
The gas cost $19.50
