Apply the slope (m) formula:


m=((y2-y1))/((x2-x1))

We have the points:

Point 1 = (3,1) = (x1,y1)

Point 2 = (10,-3) = (x2,y2)

Replacing:


m=\text{ }(-3-1)/(10-3)

Solving:


m=\text{ -}(4)/(7)
