With 1 gallon of gas, Jeffrey can drive:
434 miles/ 14gallons of gas* 1 gallon of gas= 31 miles
Since there is 2 gallons of gas, Jeffrey can drive:
31 miles/ 1gallon of gas* 2 gallons of gas=
62 miles
Hope this will help :))

Here, we need to set up a proportion.
Jeffery: 434 miles on 14 gallons of gas
We need to know how many miles he can drive on 2 gallons of gas.
Proportion:-
434/14 = x/2
Cross multiply!
434*2 = 868
14*x = 14x
14x = 868
14x/14 = 868/14
x= 868/14
x= 62
Jeffery can drive 62 miles on 2 gallons of gas.
