In Geometry, the distance between a point not on a line and a line is the length of the perpendicular segment from the point to the line.
The distance from point N to line LM is the length of segment NO which is 7.8.
Answer: 7.8

That distance is LABELED in the drawing ! It's the length of line NO. Can you read that number ? It's the only number on this drawing that doesn't start with an 8 .
