Brooke went to the hardware store and bought 20 identical copper pipes. When Brooke lined up the pipes end-to-end, the line was 1 meter long. How long was each pipe?

Answer: 5cm

Explanation:

First and foremost, we should note that

1 meter = 100 centimeters

Therefore, since Brooke went to the hardware store and bought 20 identical copper pipes and their total length is 1 meter long which is 100cm, the length of each pipe will be the title length of the Pipe divided by the number of pipes. This will be:

= 100 / 20

= 5cm each.

Each pipe is 5cm long.
