If (2x-2) is equal to 'y', and (-x+1) is equal to 'y' then (2x-2) must be equal to (-x+1).
2x - 2 = -x + 1
Add 'x' to each side:
3x - 2 = 1
Add 2 to each side:
3x = 3
Divide each side by 3 :
x = 1
And then I guess
y= 0
.
