Let the radius of the small cylindrical container be r and the height be h. Then the radius of the large cylindrical container is 2r.

Volume of the small cylinder

=\pi r^2h

Volume of the large cylinder

\begin{gathered} =\pi(2r)^2h \\ =4\pi r^2h \end{gathered}

So, the volume of popcorn contains in the large cylindrical container is 4 times the volume contains in the small popcorn.

Hence buying one large container is profitable.
