answer is 10 11/35

Because here you are finding an unknown, so you redo the problem.
The problem tells you to divide so the opposite is times the number
so 2 5/7 times 3 4/5 is 10 11/35

find the missing number in 3 4/5 divide [ ] = 2 5/7

Let the unknown number be x

(3 (4)/(5))/(x)=2(5)/(7)

3(4)/(5) can be written as
(19)/(5)

2(5)/(7) can be written as
(19)/(7)

So equation becomes

((19)/(5))/(x)=(19)/(7)

We need to get x alone, so we multiply by x on both sides

(19)/(5)=(19)/(7) *x

Now to remove 9/7 we take reciprocal and multiply it on both sides

(19)/(5) * (7)/(19) =(19)/(7)* (7)/(19) *x

(7)/(5)=x

The missing number is
(7)/(5)
