first distribute
a(b+c)=ab+ac so
2(x+3)=2x+6
-3(2-2x)=-6+6x
5x+3=2x+6-6+6x
add like terms
5x+3=2x+6x+6-6
5x+3=8x+0
subtract 5x from both sides
3=3x
divide both sides by 3
1=x

there are 1 solutions
