2x+4=-10

2x=-14

x= -7 ....

Really ! What are you going to do when the moment comes
on an exam when you have to do it on your own ?


(1/4) (8x + 16) = -10

Multiply each side by 4 :

8x + 16 = -40

Subtract 16 from each side:

8x = -56

Divide each side by 8 :

x = -7
