First divide the number of shirts by the total.
35/50=0.7
Then times your answer by 100.
0.7 x 100=70%

Divide 35 by 50. 35/50 = 0.7 Concert to to a percent. 0.7 (move to decimal point 2 places to the right) 0.7 = 70% 35 is 75% of 50.
