That's a description of wire pairs.

Coaxial cable is a single conductor in the center of a
long conducting cylinder.

Optical fiber is not wire at all. It's a thin strand of glass,
through which a modulated light beam is passed, often
for miles.

A Microwave System is also not a wire. It's a radio link that can
carry high-speed data, between two points that are anywhere
from 100 yards to 100 miles apart.
(I know this because I make my living designing, installing, and
troubleshooting Microwave Systems.)
