$8.8y - 4 = 7.7y + 7\\ 1.1y=11\\ y=10$

$8.8y-4=7.7y+7 \\ 8.8y-7.7y=7+4 \\ 1.1y=11 \\ y=11/1.1 \\ y=10-> answer D$
