You can make 16 refrigerator magnets. If you divide 10 by 5/8, you multiply by the reciprocal of 5/8 which is 8/5. You have 8/5 x 10. Cross simplify and you have 16.

Answer:

16 magnet tapes

Explanation:

Length of each refrigerator magnet=
(5)/(8) of magnetic tape

Total length of refrigerator = 10 inches

Number of refrigerator magnets=
( length of magnetic tape)/(length of refrigerator magnet)

Number of refrigerator magnet=
(10)/((5)/(8) )

Number of refrigerator magnet= 10×
(8)/(5)

Number of refrigerator magnets= 16 magnet tapes.

Hence, the correct answer is 16 magnetic tapes.
