Travel 40 miles at a rate of 43 miles per hour equals 40/43 = 0.93 hr = 55.81 min. round up to 56 min.
So take 56 min added to 6:24pm equals 7:20pm approx.
Thanks for the entertainment.

If his speed is 43 mph, then it takes him 40/43 of an hour to go 40 miles.
An hour = 60 minutes.
40/43 of 60 minutes = 55.8 minutes. He gets home 55.8 minutes after 6:24 PM.
