4x - 3y = 0

The x-intercept is the point on the graph where it crosses the x-axis.
But everywhere on the x-axis, y=0.
So, at the intercept ...

4x - 3(0) = 5

4x = 5

Divide each side by 4 : x = 5/4 or 1.25

x intercept is where y=0
so make y=0
4x-0=5
x=5/4
