The first step -4=k-86-10 second- k-76=-4 third step 76-4= 72 substitute 72 in for k 72-76= -4 this is true

You use distributive property
Step 1:
−(−k)−1(−86)+10=−4
Step 2:
k−1(−86)+10=−4
Step 3:
k+86+10=−4
Step 4:
k+96=−4
Step 5:
k=−96−4
Step 6:
Subtract
4
from
−96
to get
−100
.
