Area = length x width

Width = w

length = w + 2

Area = w (w+2)

Area = w^2 + 2w

Answer:

4w+4

Explanation:

The equation to find the length and width would be 2w+2 but since we need to find the perimeter we have to double it’s 2(2w+2) and the answer would equal to 4w+4

Please don’t trust the answer above me, it is incorrect. I wrote that as my answer and the teacher told me the correct answer is 4w+4. Don’t make the same mistake I did.
