Answer: a) one central angle is QPR

b) arc QTS is a semicircle

c) arc QR is a major arc

d) arc QTR = 235

e) arc QR = 125

Explanation:

A central angle is an angle with its vertex as the midpoint of the circle.

A semicircle is half of a circle. Segment QS goes through the midpoint P splitting the circle in half : arc QTS and arc QRS are both semicircles.

The degree of a central angle is equal to the arc it encompasses. Central angle QPR is equal to 125, therefore arc QR is equal to 125 as well.

Given this information we can now find the remaining arc QTR. A circle is equal to 360 degrees. We know part of the circle is 125 degrees which means the remaking portion must be 235 degrees.

360 - 125 = 235
