Given the equation :

x^2-4x+29=0

So, a = 1, b = -4 , c = 29

The value of x will be calculated using the general law:

x=\frac{-b\pm\sqrt[]{b^2-4ac}}{2a}

Substitute with a, b and c

\begin{gathered} x=\frac{4\pm\sqrt[]{(-4)^2-4\cdot1\cdot29}}{2\cdot1}=\frac{4\pm\sqrt[]{-100}}{2} \\ \\ x=\frac{4\pm i\cdot\sqrt[]{100}}{2}=(4\pm10i)/(2)=2\pm5i \end{gathered}

So, the answer will be:

x = 2 + 5i or x = 2 - 5i
