A certain type of frog reproduces sexually and has 36 pairs of chromosomes in each of its body cells. How many chromosomes are in each of the frog’s sex cells?

Sex cells are different from body cells. Sex cells are made up of haploid number of cells. A haploid cell is half the original number of cell. When sex cell combines, they fuse and unite the half number of cells to form a single diploid which makes a complete body cell by a series of process.

All sex cells only contains half the number of cells in their parent.
