Please explain how to do quadratic formula with this problem.

x^(2) - 6x + 4 = 0

\frac{-(-6) \± \sqrt{-(-6)^(2) - 4(1)(4)}}{2(1)}

(6 \± √(36 - 16))/(2)

(6 \± √(20))/(2)

(6 \± 2√(5))/(2)

3 \± √(5)

3 + √(5)
or
3 - √(5)
