PEMDAS
rule.
PEMDAS
stands for
P
arenthesis,
E
xponents,
M
ultiplication,
D
ivision,
A
ddition, and
S
ubtraction.
(6+1) is in parenthesis so you do it first.
6+1=7
The result is 30-7.
30-7=23
The answer is
23
