Tony is training to run a marathon. He has already run 2 miles today and is running additional miles at 6 miles per hour. Write an equation that represents the miles, M, that Tony runs, where h represents the number of hours

Here is your answer:

h is the number of hours to run the 6 miles per hour....

Using this formula:

Which would equal "
M = 6h + 2."

M = Distance in miles
Would assume that h is the number of hours to run the additional 6 miles per hour.

Additional distance = speed * time = 6 * h = 6h

Total distance, M = 2 + 6h
