The Office of the Directory of National Intelligence was created in 2005 as a result of the September 11, 2001 attacks. It collects and shares information to keep the United States safe.

Its main objective is to effectively integrate foreign, military and domestic intelligence in defense of the homeland and of United States. Together with the Principal Deputy DNI collaborated with the help of the Mission managers and Deputy directors, a well-governed office created for the safety of all the people shall function properly.
