The trail starts at P(−2, 2) and goes to Q(5, 2). It goes from Q to R(5, −5) and then to S(8, −5). What is the total length (in units) of the biking trail?

If you draw this out on a graph you can count the units but if not you must take the change from P(-2) to Q (5) Ignore the y's since they're the same. So there is a space of 7 between the numbers which can found found by counting up from -2. Q(2) to R(-5) ignore the x's since they're the same. So on and so forth ending up with an answer of 17units traveled
