For the cube, x represents a positive whole number. Find the value of x such that the volume of the cube and 6 times the area of one of its faces have the same value.

1. Since this is a cube, I believe it must have the same value of 6.
How? See this formula:

Volume of cube = x3 or x * x * x
To get the are = X2 or x*x
Now let’s find the value of x in where the volume of the cube and 6 times the area of its faces have the same value according to the problem:

x3 – 6x2 =0
x2 – (x - 6) = 0
Subtract 6x2 on both sides.

Thus, x = 6
