There are 4 red balls, 6 white balls, and 3 blue balls in a bag. If one ball is drawn from the bag at random, what is the probability that it is not white?

a. 1/7
b. 5/6
c. 7/13
d. 1/13

P'(A) = (6)/(4+6+3)= (6)/(13) \\ \\ P(A) = 1-P'(A) \\ \\ P(A)=1- (6)/(13)= (7)/(13)

First you want to add all the numbers up.  Then you have to subtract from the amount of white balls (which will give you seven).  Put 7 above the sum of all the balls and so the chances of getting a ball that is not white would be 7/13.
