Form the intersection for the following sets. E = {1, 2, 3} F = {101, 102, 103, 104} E ∩ F = { } {1, 2, 3} {101, 102, 102, 103, 104} {1, 2, 3, 101, 102, 103, 104}

E={1,2,3}
F={101,102,103,104}

There aren't the same numbers in set E and set F. So

E \cap F = \emptyset \qquad \hbox{(empty set)}

Answer:

The correct option is 1.

Explanation:

The given sets are

E = {1, 2, 3}

F = {101, 102, 103, 104}

The intersection of two events represent the common element of both the sets.

It is clear that, there are no common elements in set E and F, therefore the intersection of both E and F is null set or empty set.

E\cap F=\phi

E\cap F=\{\}

Therefore the correct option is 1.
