The Industrial Revolution contributes to urbanization through the construction of factories, plants, for the implementation of new machines and new production methods. This has a consequent concentration of the population in the cities. Large factories interact with the environment as well as urban populations through the consumption of food, water, energy and land. And such a polluted environment affects the health and quality of life of the urban population.

The answer is: d. Increased pollution

"d. Increased pollution" was a direct result of increased urbanization during the Industrial Revolution, since many factories were in very close proximity of one another.
