Area per parallelogram = 5 x 3.5
Area per parallelogram = 17.5

You have 25 of those parallelograms, so
17.5 x 25 = 437.5 in^2

Let's find the area of one parallelogram piece.

Formula:

\sf~A=bh

Plug in what we know:

\sf~A=(5)(3.5)

Multiply:

\sf~A=17.5

This is the area of one parallelogram piece, so multiply by 25 to find out the area of the entire quilt.

\sf~A=17.5*25\rightarrow\boxed{\sf437.5}
