7/9(x+3)=14
7x/9 + 21/9 = 14 (21/9 =7/3)
7x/9 = 14 -7/3
7x/9 = (42-7) /3
7x/9 = 35 /3
7x = 35 * 9 /3
7x = 35 * 3
x = 35 * 3 /7
x = 5 * 3
x=15

You distribute the -7/9 to the x+3. So it would be -7/9x-7/3=14. Add -7/3 to both sides to get x by itself. So then it would be -7/9x=49/3. Divide both sides by -7/9 and then x=-21
