The Sugar Sweet Company is going to transport its sugar to market. It will cost $6250 to rent trucks, and it will cost an additional $250 for each ton of sugar transported.Let C represent the total cost (in dollars), and let S represent the amount of sugar (in tons) transported. Write an equation relating C to S, and then graph your equation using the axes below.Equation: (PLOT THE POINTS WHEN GRAPHING)

Given:

C = total cost

S = Amount of Sugar

To solve this problem we can think of a standard form of equation for straight line:

y=mx+b

m = slope,

b = y-intercept.

hence:

m = $250 per ton

b = $6250 initial rent cost

EQUATION

C = 250S + 6250
