even integers are 2n where n is a intiger
so consecutive even integers are 2 away from each other

so first number=2n
2nd=2n+2
3rd=2n+4
4th=2n+6

so
2n+2n+2+2n+4+2n+6=8n+12=-84
solve

8n+12=-84
subtrafct 12 from both sides
8n=-96
divide both sides by 8
n=-12

n=-12
1st number=2n
1st number=-24

2nd number=2n+2
2nd number=-24+2=-22

3rd number=2n+4
3rd numbber=-24+4=-20

4th number=2n+6
4th number=-24+6=-18

the numbers are -18,-20,-22,-24

on a number line where negative numbers are the the left and positive to the right
the farther to the right a number is, the bigger it is so
-18 is the largest
