Tokyo was the City destroyed by an Earthquake on
Sept. 1, 1923. 60% of Tokyo was burned down and destroyed.

I know that Tokyo commonly has several earthquakes, due to the fact that it lies on top of a fault line and that Tokyo has several tsunamis, like they did a few years ago. Several thousand were killed and went missing.
