Y^2 + 16y= -39

How do I show my work and get the answer. I don't think there is a GCF... This is Algebra, grade 9, Quadratic Equations unit

y^2 + 16y= -39\\ y^2+16y+39=0\\ y^2+13y+3y+39=0\\ y(y+13)+3(y+13)=0\\ (y+3)(y+13)=0\\ y=-3 \vee y=-13
