3x+4(2x+5) = 6x + 5x + 5
3x + 8x + 20 = 6x + 5x + 5
11x + 20 = 11x + 5
11x - 11x = 5 - 20
0 = -15
Impossible
So Lauren is wrong. this 2 expressions are not equivalent

$\#1\\3x+4(2x+5)=3x+4(2x)+4(5)=3x+8x+20=11x+20\\\\\#2\\6x+5x+5=11x+5\\\\Answer:\boxed{not\ equivalent}$
