The final battle of the Revolutionary War that ensured American Independence took place at Yorktown (D). The battle of Yorktown, Virginia, took place on October of 1781, which is why it is considered the last battle of the American Revolutionary War. The American Continental Army led by George Washington, allied with French troops, won over the Brittish troops that surrendered Yorktown.
