Federal government was greatly expanded during the Depression, making great efforts to help the local governments and its citizens throughout the new deals, social security, fdic, etc. ... Instead, encourage private charities and local and state governments to organize and provide poverty relief.

Answer:

During the Depression, the federal government was significantly enlarged, making tremendous strides to support local governments and their residents through the new agreements, social security, FDIL, etc. Alternatively, promote private charities and local and state governments to coordinate and provide relief from poverty.
