During the 1920's, President Calvin Coolidge - the 30th President of the United States - adopted a laissez-faire toward business, which helped bring about the Great Depression

This would be Calvin Coolidge. Coolidge meant well, but left business and practically all financial matters to the whims of the market, which led to the Great Depression.
