( 8x + 6 ) / 5 - ( 6x - 12 ) / 2 = 1 / 2 ;
( 16x + 12 ) / 10 - ( 30x - 60 ) / 10 = 5 / 10 ;
16x + 12 - 30x + 60 = 5 ;
- 14x + 72 = 5 ;
- 14x = - 67 ;
x = 67 / 14 = 4.78 ;

multiply both sdies by 10 to get rid of the fractions
20(4x+3)/5-60(x-2)/2=5
4(4x+3)-30(x-2)=5
distribute
16x+12-30x+60=5
add like terms
-14x+72=5
subtract 72 from both sdies
-14x=-67
multiplyh -1
14x=67
divide both sdies by 14
x=67/14
