$(3p)/(q)\\\\subtitute\ p=2\ and\ q=6\ to\ (3p)/(q):\\\\(3\cdot2)/(6)=(6)/(6)=1\leftarrow Answer$

So we know what the variables are already.

(3*2)/(6)

Now, 3 x 2 = 6.

So our fraction is 6/6.

6/6 is also equal to 1.
