Callie bought 2 gallons of juice for $2.58 per gallon. She sold the juice in 1-cup servings for $0.75 each. Each serving is 1/16 gallon. How much more did she get for selling the juice than she paid to buy it?

2 gallons * $2.58 per gallon = $5.16 expenses (total spent)
2 gallons * 16 cups = 32 total servings
32 cups * $0.75 per cup = $24 gross revenue (total income)
$24 - $5.16 = $19.84 net revenue (profit)

Answer:

she get $18.84 for selling the juice than she paid to buy it.

Explanation:

Callie bought 2 gallons juice for $2.58 per gallon.

Total amount spent = 2 × 2.58 = $5.16

She makes 16 cups (servings) from 1 gallon

Total servings = 16 × 2 = 32 cups (servings)

She sold the juice in 1 cup = $0.75

Total 32 cups = 0.75 × 32 = $24.00

Her gross revenue for 2 gallons juice is $24.00

She spent $5.16 to buy it, therefore this paid amount should be subtract from her gross revenue

Total net profit = 24.00 - 5.16 = $18.84

she get $18.84 for selling the juice than she paid to buy it.
