Is 3/5 greater than 1/2?

no the bigger the denominator the smaller the answer

Yes it is. Write the fractions out like this:
3 1
5 2
Then cross multiply. Multiply 3 x 2, which equals 6. Now put the 6 on top of the 3. Now multiply 5 and 1, which equals 5. So put the 5 over the 1. So 6 and 5. 6 is bigger, which is over the 3/5. So that means 3/5 is bigger.
