So,
Translating this equation mathematically, we get:
Multiply both sides by 12
p + 7 = 36
Subtract 7 from both sides
p = 29

sum of a number p and seven (p+7) is divide by 12 ((p+7)/12)
the result (=) 3 (3)
(p+7)/12=3
multiply both sdies by 12 to clear fraction
p+7 times 12/12=3 times 12
p+7=36
subtract 7 from both sides
p+7-7=36-7
p=29
the number is 29
