For a circle, A=
\pi
r^(2)
For this circle the radius is 18mm so when we plug it in we get A=
\pi (18)^(2)

18^(2) = 324 so now we have A=324
\pi
Using 3.14 as
\pi We now have A=(3.14)(324) which is equal to 1017.36
So we know that A=1017.36
mm^(2)

area=pi times r^2

radius=18mm
pemdas
exponents first
18^2=324
pi aprox=3.14
324 times 3.14=1017.36 mm^2 or square mm
