$x=0.\overline{1}\\10x=1.\overline{1}\\ 10x-x=1.\overline{1}-0.\overline{1}\\ 9x=1\\ x=(1)/(9)$

10x=1.1...
x=0.1...
Then subtract the two equations from each other:
9x=1
Solve for x:
x=1/9
