\begin{gathered} y=mx+b \\ where \\ m=\text{slope} \\ b=y-\text{intercept} \end{gathered}

Therefore,

m=(-3+5)/(5-0)=-(2)/(5)
\begin{gathered} -5=-(2)/(5)(0)+b \\ b=-5 \end{gathered}
y=-(2)/(5)x-5

when y =-7

\begin{gathered} -7=-(2)/(5)x-5 \\ -7+5=-(2)/(5)x \\ -2=-(2)/(5)x \\ -10=-2x \\ x=(-10)/(-2) \\ x=5 \end{gathered}
